The American Express® Gold Card Personal Travel Dollars Bonus Point Conversion

Terms and Conditions

1. This loyalty program commences on 16 Nov 2009.
2. Every MOP1 spent on the Card earns you 1 point. This excludes Cash Advance and gambling-related transactions, annual fees, interest charges, late payment charges, finance charges and other miscellaneous fees and charges on the account.
3. Points earned are converted into Travel Dollars, Annual Fee Waivers or Bonus Dollars as determined by the conditions of this program.
4. A “Travel Transaction” or “Travel-related Transaction” means any of the following transactions conducted through the Card:
   

   	a. Transactions made at any travel agency or airline, and paid in MOP;
   	b. Retail purchases and internet transactions in any place outside Macau or paid in any currency except MOP.

5. The points earned for the eligible transaction will be automatically converted to Travel Dollar at a rate of 0.66% once the transaction is posted to the Cardmember’s Card Account under the following conditions:
   

   	a. The Card Account is open and current (i.e., in good standing and there are no past due balance on the Account) and is in compliance with such other conditions as may be imposed by the Bank from time to time;
   	b. In respect of each conversion, the amount of Travel Dollar converted is subject to eligible transactions amounting to MOP500 or above per transaction. If there are insufficient points for such conversion, the points will be accumulated as part of your total points balance for all other transactions.
   	c. Travel Dollar will only offset the current statement balance, however it will not be considered as payment for the previous month’s statement and interest charges will be levied if not paid in full.

6. Bonus Dollar conversion will be accumulated for a 100% Annual Fee Waiver or 50% Annual Fee Waiver in the following order, if there are sufficient points at time of Card Anniversary Date. Remaining points balance after Annual Fee Waiver will be converted into Bonus Dollar in blocks of 200 points to 1 Bonus Dollar, rounded up to nearest integer on the Card Anniversary Date and any left over points will be forfeited.
7. Travel Dollar or Bonus Dollar is not transferable. It will be forfeited when the Card Account is closed or, in the opinion of the Bank, is not in good standing; or if the Card has expired or ceased to be effective or a breach of the Agreement or any other relevant agreement has occurred.
8. Any conversion to Travel Dollar or Bonus Dollar is irrevocable, and it cannot be re-converted to points.
9. If any transaction is cancelled or refunded for whatever reason, Travel Dollar or Bonus Dollar earned in respect to this transaction may be deducted or cancelled at the Bank’s discretion. If the refunded transaction involves currency exchange, the Travel Dollar or Bonus Dollar will be deducted or cancelled according to the refunded transaction amount but not the original transaction amount due to fluctuations in the currency exchange rates.
10. The Bank is entitled at any time and without any prior notice or liability to the Cardmember in any manner whatsoever to terminate Travel Dollar or Bonus Dollar Conversion or cancel or vary its benefits or features, or vary, add to or delete any of the relevant terms and conditions, or withdraw or change any of such programs or modify or limit the value of Travel Dollar or Bonus Dollar.
